Who we are

Alla Moda Bridal is the bridal hair and makeup team of Alla Moda Collaborative, 28 The Butts, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1HX. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, call us on 07515 453570, write to us at the address above, or get in touch through our contact form.

The information we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect:

  • your name
  • your email address and phone number
  • your wedding date and location
  • anything you choose to tell us in your message

If you go on to book with us, we will also keep the details needed to manage your booking, such as the number of people in your bridal party, your trial dates and records of the payments you make.

When you browse our website, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our site.

How we use your information

  • to reply to your enquiry and check our availability
  • to arrange trials and provide our services on your wedding day
  • to take deposits and payments and keep our accounts
  • to understand how our website is used so we can improve it

We will never sell your information, and we will not send you marketing without your permission.

Our legal basis

Under UK data protection law we rely on:

  • Contract – when we use your details to respond to a request for a quote or to provide the services you have booked.
  • Legal obligation – when we need to keep financial records for tax purposes.
  • Legitimate interests – to run and improve our website and business, where this does not override your rights.
  • Consent – for any non-essential cookies, and for marketing if you have asked to hear from us.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

  • Netlify, which hosts our website and receives and stores contact form submissions.
  • Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics), which helps us understand how visitors use our website.
  • Adobe Fonts, which supplies the fonts used on our website.
  • Our accountant, for keeping our financial records.

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Our website uses Google Tag Manager, which may load Google Analytics cookies so we can see how many people visit our site and which pages are most popular. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the website will still work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 12 months. If you book with us, we keep your booking details until your wedding has taken place, and financial records for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required by HMRC.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
  • ask us to transfer your information to someone else

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
